The Bentley Generals are a senior AAA ice hockey team from Bentley, Alberta, Canada that plays in the Chinook Hockey League. They are the current senior AAA champions of Alberta,[1] as well as the holders of the McKenzie Cup, emblematic of the championship of Western Canada.[2] On April 18, 2009, the Generals won the 2009 Allan Cup as the top Senior ice hockey team in Canada.

The Generals represented Western Canada at the 2008 Allan Cup tournament, the third time in five years that the Generals have reached the Allan Cup playdowns. The Generals also qualified for the 2007 Allan Cup when they were coached by former National Hockey League coach of the year Brian Sutter.[3]
Former NHLer Kelly Buchberger was a member of the Generals in 2005, while the team also attempted to play Ryan Smyth during the 2004–05 NHL lockout, though Smyth was ruled ineligible to play.[4]
The Generals topped off the 2008–09 season, coached by former NHLer Brian Sutter, by winning the 2009 Allan Cup 4-3 in double overtime over Manitoba's Southeast Prairie Thunder.
At the 2010 Allan Cup, the Generals lost the final 4-1 to the Fort St. John Flyers.
